Back home

So turns out I’m a bloody liar! Posts were anything but consistent; in fact they were non-existent. Oh well.

So the con went great, met a few editors and hopefully got my name in their brains. Handed out a lot of business cards and minis as well.

Saturday night was a blast, Trevor Mueller, Phil Chan, Irv Fabor, DJ Coffman, Jorge Vega, Dominic Vivona, Phil’s cousins, David Boozer, and I went to Korean BBQ down past Times Square and ate a crazy amount of charred flesh. Then we went down to Irv’s favorite watering hole, Whiskey River, to drink the night away and bullshit about virtually everything.

I’m sad as fuck I can’t get to Philly this weekend to hang out with them some more, oh well I’ll see everyone again in June at WizWorld Chicago.

Anyway I’ve got some more writing to do and some emails to send so I’ll post up a little more on NY some point in the near future.

On the road

Well I’m sitting in Dallas International waiting for my connection to NY. Another hour and I’ll be boarding! After that 3ish hours in the air and we’re in NY. Tonight will be hanging out with the DP crew and getting settled at the hostel. Tomorrow we should be bumming around NY, Boozer hasn’t been so we’ll go to a few of the ‘touristy’ spots before the Con opens to attendees at 3pm.

I’ve got business cards and a sample minicomic that has 8 pages from Right Way and 4 pages from The Devil and Ted. Hopefully this will be a good conversation starter with some publishers and garner me a little bit of name recognition for when I start submitting proposals. Who knows, maybe I’ll even land a gig this week! OK, posts will be fairly consistent through the weekend so check back for more on our voyage!

Of writing and art

Updates, updates updates…

And ellipses… lots of them…

Anyway just a heads ups, the first 12 pages of The Right Way Wrong are now lettered and available on TheRightWayWrong.com. Have a look, Anna did an absolutely wonderful job with this book!

Also my newest project A Dead Wonder (website coming soon) just picked up an artist! Lukasz is amazing and I can’t wait to see what he turns out on what I think is a really fun script. Check his stuff out over here http://xide.digart.pl/digarty/

Also, I’ll be at NYCC and Chicago this year! I’ll be wondering the floor flashing my writing portfolio to anyone who’ll look. I’m even going to have business cards, that’s right folks I am ‘high class’. Snip Snap.

Speaking of ‘Snip Snap’ I got season 1 of Frisky Dingo.. it’s totally awesome.. just wish they’d put some extras on it.

The shit I say
